1) Material technology iteration is accelerated and abrasion resistance is significantly improved

The traditional high manganese steel jaw plate once occupied the mainstream market due to lower cost, but with the improvement of working condition requirements, the material upgrading became the industry consensus. At present, high chrome alloy and tungsten carbide composite materials have become the mainstream choice of medium and high-end products. The wear coefficient of high chrome alloy jaw plate is more than 50% higher than that of traditional high manganese steel, and the service life can reach 4000-5000 hours; By virtue of excellent hardness, the service life of tungsten carbide composite jaw plate is further extended to more than 6000 hours in the hard ore crushing scene. Although the cost is high, it can effectively reduce the frequency of equipment shutdown and replacement, which is favored by large mine enterprises. In addition, the industry is exploring new materials such as nano-ceramic composite and rare earth microalloying. Some laboratory results have entered the pilot test stage and are expected to further break through the bottleneck of wear resistance in the future.

(2) Stepwise implementation of intelligent and customized services

Intelligent transformation has become an important direction for upgrading the jaw plate industry. Some enterprises have started to introduce Internet of Things technology in jaw plate production. By installing sensors on the products, they can monitor the wear degree and stress of jaw plates in real time. Combined with the operating data of crushing equipment, they can provide customers with accurate replacement warning services and help downstream enterprises optimize the production plan. At the same time, the demand for customized services is growing day by day. For small mines, special material crushing (such as construction waste, glass waste) and other scenes, the order proportion of special-shaped jaw plates and special toothed jaw plates has increased from 12% in 2020 to 22% in 2024. The enterprises meet the demands of diversified working conditions by adjusting the casting process and optimizing the structural design.

(3) Promotion of popularization rate of green production process

Driven by environmental protection policies, jaw plate manufacturers accelerate green transformation. On one hand, the high-energy consumption and high-pollution cupola casting process is gradually eliminated in the industry, and clean casting equipment such as intermediate frequency induction furnaces and electric arc furnaces are used instead. In 2024, the popularization rate of clean casting process has reached 70%, 25 percentage points higher than that in 2020; On the other hand, the recycling and remanufacturing system of jaw plates has been gradually improved. Some enterprises have realized the smelting and casting recycling of waste jaw plates through technical research and development, and the utilization rate of renewable materials can reach over 80%, which not only reduces the consumption of raw materials, but also reduces the pollution of solid wastes. At present, the market share of renewable jaw plates is about 18%, and it is expected to increase to 30% in the next three years.
